Another Feb sneakie!! The Scallop album...FUN!

I wanted to give you guys a sneak of what I created with the Scallop album included in Feb's kit. I had so much fun with this. I wanted to make something special for my husband and I (since most of my work is for the kids!LOL) I mainly only added ribbon since I am a ribbon freak!

This is the cover and the last 2 pages of the album...I kept it simple by keeping the pictures square/rectangle rather then tracing them into a circle. I cut out elements from PP and used a bunch of the die cuts from the FP die cut sheet. Great way to embellish the book!!

February Project kit

Looking for a fun, quick decoration for Valentine's Day? Well, we have one for you this month! This project took me about an hour to complete, and so fun! You get a lot of fun "stuff" in this little kit. Making Memories clips, stickles, K & Company rubons (which by the way are fabulous!), Cloud 9 paper, and this fun little accordian album. Birthday Album

Don't know about you, but I love making gift albums. It really is the perfect way to show someone you care by creating a one of a kind gift just for the recipient.

A couple of weekends ago I put together an album for my sister who was turning 30. My siblings and I came up with "30 Things We Love" about our sister and then compiled our memories and photos.

I used the paper, ribbon and stickers from the January kit. It was so bright and happy and seemed like a perfect fit for this album.

Journaling

Okay, do you ever look at a page and want to journal and nothing seems to come to you? Do you ever find yourself describing the event but not the emotions that you want to express? I made a discovery today!
When your pictures are developed, before you create a page, or a creation, look at them think about the event. Then journal, right down everything you can remember about the event (the weather, who was there or whatever YOU want to remember), interview your family members to see how they felt. It makes the most difficult part of scrapbooking (for me) much easier!
Another suggestion that I like to do is to take a little notebook with me on trips or outings and ask everyone what was their favorite part and why.
So if you are feeling creative and don't have the time to create a page and don't feel like organizing your things, journal your pictures! Enjoy!

LOVIN' the Lace!!

The KI Lace in the Jan kit! This is such an innovative and fun new product.

Here is the layout I created with the Lace.

A few things I did with the lace:

1. Used it as my background and scrapped right on the lace!

2. Added the My Mind's Eye Jewels to the swirls.

3. Tied ribbon to the swirls.

4. I did not do this, but it would be neat to even JOURNAL on the swirls!
