Our March Guest Designer: Jennifer Colosmio

We know you will enjoy the inspiration you receive from Jennifer's designs this month. Head on over the gallery and check them out!

Here's a little info from Jennifer:

"I am a SAHM with two children. My son is almost seven and my daughter is three and feisty as ever! They keep me pretty busy. I am married for over 11 years to a wonderful man who supports my hobby although not the spending part as much. Scrapbooking is my passion and has been my main hobby for about 3.5 years now. I enjoy creating pages and documenting memories for my family. I also love reading, watching reality TV and shows like Lost, Prison Break, and Law and Order. I also enjoy the beach, cozy movie nights with my hubby, and snuggling with my kids."

Thanks Jennifer!

Playtime with the March Kit

I had a couple of hours to myself this afternoon, so I decided to play with the March kit. Here's what I came up with...

Guess I was in the mood for brown cardstock. LOL! Maybe it has something to do with craving all of the yummy chocolate Girl Scout cookies we have in our kitchen.

Everything you see in both layouts is included in the kit.

Shopping @ CHA

While attending CHA we all took careful notes on everything fabulous and then worked together to put the best products into kits for you.

We pulled together swatches of things we wanted to order to help us keep everything organized and to make sure that it all looked good together.

Here's a glimpse at the swatches for the kits you can look forward to over the next few months.

Enjoy!

Cardstock anyone?

Just came back from the Bazzill warehouse and picked up a few (hundred) sheets of cardstock for our next few kits. Gotta love it!

Fab trip to CHA!

Isn't it annoying when you go on a great trip and think you are taking lots of pictures only to discover once you are home that you hardly took any pictures? Well that's what happened when we went to CHA. But I did manage to get some pictures, so I'll share the highlights of our trip.

Crystal, Jennie (Design Team) and Diana (Project Kit Designer) all joined me on the trip. The night before CHA we all went to Wicked in Hollywood. FANTASTIC show - we all highly recommend it.
Now onto the show highlights.

We have so many fun things planned for the next several months of kits after attending the trade show. Here are a few things you can look forward to playing with over the next few months:

Heidi Swapp. We loved some of the paper, the clear overlays, the felt and just about everything else too! Crys and I talked to Heidi for a bit and got a picture.

Making Memories has added to their fabulous Noteworthy line. Gorgeous! They also have a delightful new travel line that we will be using in a Travel Journal Project kit this summer.
October Afternoon has 2 new terrific lines out. We loved both of them! They also have alpha stickers in 2 great fonts and chipboard albums with office style grids lines - too hard to resist!
Tinkering Ink. They had 4 new lines come out and my favorite thing about them is that one side is the typical bold Tinkering Ink pattern and the reverse side of the paper is a smaller and less bold pattern. I think we only ended up getting 1 Tinkering Ink paper.

My favorite find at the TI booth was their new Peek A Boo Albums - its' a mix of chipboard and acrylic with windows mixed in. We've ordered several of these to use in our Travel Journal Project kit along with the Making Memories Travel line.
Scenic Route. Loving the new Grafton line! We will be mixing a few of these papers with the Cosmo Cricket Get Happy line for a very happy kit in the near future.

While at the Scenic Route booth I'm pretty sure I found a few of Nicole's (our DT member) layouts in the booth. Am I right Nicole?
Loved all of the new thickers at American Crafts!
Teresa Collins has a new line of products and they were all very nice. Especially loved this one:
Cosmo Cricket. Loved the Get Happy line and the blackboard alphas and albums are terrific.
Pink Paislee. This is a brand new company that really has beautiful product. We placed a pre-show order with them for our March kit and it already here! Here is 1 layout using some of the paper you can play with in the very near future!

The Paper Trunk, another new company, had this adorable spinning mini album. The top portion spins and reveals piece of the album from the second layer. Very creative!
Those are the highlights. Hope you've enjoyed them. I'll be posting more info on upcoming kits soon!

More Scalloped Album Ideas

Thanks to Emelyn for coming up with the idea of using the scalloped album from the February kit as a Valentine gift for her husband. Thought I'd do the same!

I had some extra time (and somwhow some late night energy!) yesterday and decided to put the album together. LOVED the sheer album. It was so fun to play with the double-sided paper showing through on the opposite side of the page.

The Fancy Pants die cuts and Cosmo Cricket scrap strip made a fast and fun way to embellish the album. And I had so much fun with the buttons.

Here are a few of my pages...

February's mini album---You Are

This album was ablast to work with! I decided to use some (of the many) extra photos I had of my daughter to make a mini album just about her and title it You are. I spray painted the outside with Krylon Gold glitter, sewed, stickled, distressed, and used rubons (that go on like butter!) This was an amazing way to use up my stash! Enjoy!

Diana Waite is sharing her talent!

Our talented full-time project kit designer took time this month to also create some fabulous ideas for us with the main February kit.

I know you will love what she did with the kit.

Here's a little note from Diana:
" My name is Diana Waite and I have been scrapbooking since I was 14 years old in some fashion or another. I am a SAHM to 3 wonderful soccer kids, they are pretty much the subject to all of my pages. I have found that I really enjoy scrapbooking 12 x 12 I just made the switch last year and discovered that from January to December I did 107 pages! Thanks to Scrapbook Circle my pages came together quickly and colorfully. I challenged myself with the February kit using either things off my desk top or in my stash (one of the embellishments is at least 5 years old!), so challenge yourself this month and see what you can incorporate into your designs with this great kit! Thanks Lisa for letting me PLAY!"

Stop by the Idea Gallery to see what Diana and the other designers have been up to!
