July Sneak!!!

Oooh, I am loving the July kit! I've made 4 layouts already and still have a few more in mind! My favorite thing about the kit is the fun sheet of transparent die cuts! LOVE the look of them! You can ink them up or keep them plain! I used liquid glue to hold them down or you can also use staples or brads...love the extra texture they create!! Have fun with them!

Happy 4th of July (almost!)

I just put this little project together as a centerpiece for our kitchen table and thought I'd share with all of you...
(This was not put together with one of our kits - just things I already had.)

I was surprised to find how many different chipboard stars I had on hand. If you go through your stash, you may be surprised too!

Found the white pitcher at IKEA (love that place) for around $6. What a deal!

I used the new Scenic Route Liberty line papers and stickers along with some silver glitter and pop dots. Just covered each of the chipboard stars with paper, stickers and glitter and they were ready to be displayed!

This is a quick project that I put together in an evening while watching So You Think You Can Dance. Don't you just love creating while watching T.V.? Make it seem like much more productive time!

Hope everyone has a fun-filled week ahead of them.

June Sketch!!

Here is the sketch for June...I hope it inspires you! For the layout, I cut out the bracket from the Teresa Collins patterned paper. I used the left side for another layout, but I also saved the lined portion of the paper. I used this as the large photo mat for the 3 pictures. Also, I ran out of an "e" for my title, so I used an upside down "3"! It works and I get to use up those unused numbers! For the green flowers, I cut up the felt ribbon into different pieces. I used some bling from my stash to top it off. For the butterflies, I folded them in half for added dimension and added a pop dot under the wings so it doesn't get smushed in the album. THANKS so much!!

Playing with the July Project Kit

The July Project kit is perfect for helping you capture your vacation memories!

I had a little time to play with it yesterday and I love how it is coming together.

Thought I'd share what I've done so far...

The pages alternate between chipboard and acrylic with windows in the chipboard, so there are lots of fun possibilities for layering!

My husband and I are going on a trip to Spain later this year and this travel journal is going to be perfect for our trip! I'm covering the pages with paper and embellishments leaving room for journaling and photos. This is the perfect size (6.5 X 4 inches) to take along in a travel bag and use during our trip.

The cool thing about this journal is that since the binding is two rings, you could add journaling or brochures to the journal just by punching holes in them and adding them to the rings.

Another fun aspect of the kit is that all of the paper is double sided, so you can attach a piece to one side of the acrylic and the other side of the acrylic is embellished by the opposite side of the patterned paper.

This is now available for preorder and will be shipping the first week of July.

July Peek!

I've been playing with the upcoming July kit this week and I've been having so much fun!

The paper is all double-sided, so there are so many creative options.

Here's a look at what I've been up to:

I put this together as a guest book where a photo of the visitors can go on one side of the page and details of the visit go on the other page.

The paper, brown glitter alphas and Fancy Pants transparencies pieces are all from the July kit!

(The mini alpha on the cover is from the June Project Kit and the house chipboard shapes are from Jenni Bowlin.)

Hope you are looking forward to your kit!

Paint + Cardboard

These 2 simple items can have a great effect on your layouts. Nicole (from our DT) shared this great technique with me: just put paint on cardboard (torn a little so that the ridges are showing) and use the cardboard as a stamp on your layout.

Here is my first attempt at the technique:

This is a great way to fill in a little bit of space without using embellishments or patterned paper.

It is also a great way to make your own journaling lines.

If you give this a try, please be sure to share your layout with us in our new photo section of our community!

June Kit is UP!

The full June Kit is up and we hope you love it as much as we do!

Here are a few close up pictures of the kit for you...

The paper in this kit is amazing! So many happy colors with so many possibilities. All of the paper is double-sided. Take a look at the cool reverse side patterns...

I just love the stripes, plaids and grid patterns. Also loving the striped paper with the words - perfect for adding bits of journaling here and there.

The patterns of both sides are so fun, don't forget to pick up an extra set of paper to come along with your kit.

(The full June Gallery will be up soon!)
