Simple card - June Kit
Hello everyone, are you enjoying summer? We are having a blast here in the pool, it's nice to finally have a long stretch of warm weather!
So why did I decide to make a Christmas card this time of year? Was it to cool myself off? Am I going bonkers? No, that's not it at all, lol!
There are two main reeasons:
1. I wanted to show that a "summery" paper can be used for other things than summer layouts;
2. Cards magazine is having a call for holiday cards, so I figured I could send this one in.
I used the Snorkel line by Cosmo Cricket (Beach Towel for the background and Umbrellas for the ornements). The Jenni Bowlin rub-ons are also from the June kit.
As you can see, I hand-cut the circles for the ornaments so they are not even, but I don't mind that. I also pop-dotted the yellow one and the red one. You can't see it really well on the card, so here's a close-up
I hope you enjoyed, don't forget to link us to your work made with the June kit or even better yet, add it to our gallery!
