Telling a story

When I find the time to look back through past layouts, by far the ones that I savor the most are those that tell a story. I need to remind myself of that fact every now and then when I'm doing a layout. Instead of spending so much time creating exotic embellishments or making everything look so beautiful, spend time journaling!

Was there a reason you took the picture you are scrapping? What was going on in your lives at that time? What would someone who didn't know you or your family need to know to understand the layout?

With this layout, the story is a necessary embellishment. A family friend created these crocheted nose warmers and was trying to see if they would be something that she could sell later on. We were her guinea pigs. While they certainly kept our noses warm, the fashion statement alone was loud enough to say, "NO THANK YOU!"

So, take some time to tell a story next layout!!! Enjoy and happy scrapping!

Love this layout and great way to remind me to 'tell a story' with my pages! :)
