It's all in the details!

I find that adding little details on a layout can really make a difference and add interest. For example, on the layout below, I could have left the tree branch on which the owl sits as is, but I decided to add interest to the branch, so I cut out leaves and tucked them underneath the branches. This gives a little extra touch that makes that branch even more fun and cute.
