tip of the day.....

I'm in the process of making books for a couple of projects and I thought I would show how to make the covers today...
1. you need chipboard (for the covers).  The size I'm using is 5 x 7 I bought it from my local Scrapbook store, but you can cut down thinner chipboard and glue that together....
2. pick your paper that you want to use for your cover, cut it down to 6 x 8.
3. you need to glue the chipboard to your paper.  You need to eyeball for the center.
4.  You need to cut or miter the edge of your paper.  *make sure you leave space between the edge and the chipboard.
5.  you will slightly bend your paper over the edges.  Glue your edges **make sure you to 2 together-meaning do the ends then the sides.
6.  Next glue your other piece of paper to the inside it will measure 6 3/4" x 4 1/2".
That's it!  You can now decorate the cover.  Enjoy!
