Amazing April

Hey guys! I am so super excited that it is the first day of April and that it is my day to post. April is going to be an amazing month and you wanna know why?!!! Because, the April kit from SBC is PHENOMENAL!!!! I am so in love with this kit! All of the bold, spring colors are just what I needed to perk me up after my scrappy mojo went south. I have 2 layouts that I've created that I would like to share with ya.

"Our Lil' Lamb"
The moment I opened the kit, I fell in love with the canvas banner pieces! I just knew I had to add them to a layout and quick. I decided to add some pink stitching to the edges of my pennants. I really like the extra pop of color it gave. I attached these to my layouts using Helmar Scrap Dots. I found this adhesive really useful when attaching the fabric to the cardstock. I also have to say what a big fan I am of the October Afternoon paper included in the kit. It totally rocks!!!!

The Cosmo Cricket Chipboard alphas are so nice too! I really love the unique look they have to them.

Aren't these pennants the coolest?!!! I can't wait to see what all of the girls and all of you will do with these!!!

"Explore"
For my second layout, I knew I wanted to use the patchwork paper that is included in the kit. I love the country quilt feel it had to it. I decided to cut the patchwork paper into squares and lay them in a diagonal pattern. I added some stitching in between all of my squares.

The ribbon was pulled from my personal scrappy stash....
