Gardening 101

Hi Everyone! I've been having so much fun playing with the new October Kit of the Month...you will LOVE it! I am loving these papers from October Afternoon Hometown Line and Fancy Pants is awesome as well! Both lines have such a vintage flair to them! The yellow and black together make everything pop and I am in love with this houndstooth print...so cute!
On this Layout, Gardening 101, my son was learning how to plant flowers. I wanted to make that a focal point of the layout, to really draw your eye into what it was about. Adding the small photo corner to center photo brings your attention to the subject at hand.
I took the patterened floral paper and using my x-acto knife, cut out each one of the flowers to give the layout a little more dimension and interest. I finished it off with a black brad in the center. These little touches can make such a difference and it's so easy to do!
