Stop and Smell the Flowers....and A Money Saving Tip

Hey guys! Well, Spring is in the air and as I look out my window I see all sorts of flowers and trees beginning to bloom. I just love this time of year. It is so beautiful! I also noticed the array of beautiful flowers the girls here at SBC have included in their artwork this month. I thought I would highlight some of those floral ideas today to share with you.

First up, check out this interesting burlap flower from Jennie. It is so unique and really pops on her page. Marvelous!

Second, the queen of lollipop flowers has done it again! I just love this flower from Jill. Also, notice that adorable little rosebud. Isn't it cute? I am wondering if we might could ask Jill how she made this?? :)

Next, check out this beautiful crochet flower assortment from Lisa. The crochet flowers are included in the add on to the April kit...a definite must!!

Also, love love love this flower from Diana W. It was created with the fabric page included in the April kit. Such a clever idea!!!

I also used some of the crochet flowers. These are just the cutest flowers!

Last, but certainly not least, check out this beautiful flower from Diana F. I just love this!! Her button and embroidery floss give it just the right touch!

I hope these have inspired you to add some floral flair to one of your scrappy projects. Please do share them with us in the gallery here at SBC if ya can! We'd love to see what you can do as well!

Also, new tip to share with my fellow die cutting machine crafters. I have discovered a great line of adhesives from a company called Helmar. Well, I was playing the other day and used their Remove Cleaner and V2 Vellum Adhesive on my Cricut Expression mat. My mat was losing its tackiness and had a lot of residue from previous projects. First, I placed an old sheet on my craft table to protect the surface. Next, I taped off the edges of my mat and sprayed on some of the Remove Cleaner, in a well ventilated area of course. I let the Remove Cleaner stay on my mat for 10 minutes and then wiped it off with a paper towel. I was amazed at all of the 'funk' that came off!! LOL. Next, I let my mat air dry for a bit and then I sprayed on some of the V2 Vellum Adhesive to re-tack my mat. I really like the result I achieved. My mat is cleaner, sticky, and almost like new...all without having to go out and buy a new mat! One could repeat this process several times using one can of each of these spray adhesives making this so much cheaper than buying a new mat each time!!! I hope this tip will help some of you out!

Have a fabulous day and Happy Scrappin'!
